- Genre (literary type)
Genre means "kind" or "sort". It is any category of literature or other forms of art or entertainment, e.g. music, whether written or spoken, audial or visual, based on some set of stylistic criteria. Genres are formed by conventions that change over time as new genres are invented and the use of old ones are discontinued.
Example of Genres: Comedy, Drama, Epic, Tragedy... - Epic
An epic is a lengthy narrative poem, ordinarily concerning a serious subject containing details of heroic deeds and events significant to a culture or nation. - Glossary
An alphabetical list of terms or words found in or relating to a specific subject, text, or dialect, with explanations; a brief dictionary. - Plagiarism
Plagiarism is the "wrongful appropriation" and "stealing and publication" of another author's "language, thoughts, ideas, or expressions" and the representation of them as one's own original work. - Tutorial
A tutorial is a method of transferring knowledge and may be used as a part of a learning process. More interactive and specific than a book or a lecture; a tutorial seeks to teach by example and supply the information to complete a certain task. - Sonnet 18 -William Shakespeare
Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day? - Dramatic structure
Dramatic structure (also called Freytag's pyramid) is the structure of a dramatic work such as a play or film. According to Freytag, a drama is divided into five parts, or acts, which some refer to as a dramatic arc: exposition, rising action, climax, falling action, and dénouement.
